Zine materials and packaging
Where possible I do my best to think low-impact when making and posting zines.
- Zines are printed on 100% recycled paper, which is usually 120gsm for durability and quality.
- Most zines are stitch-bound, partly because staplers hate me, but also because:
- metal isn't renewable;
- cotton is renewable;
- I'm working through a huge cotton stash;
- when recycling a zine, staples are harder to remove than cotton thread;
- even if the "cotton" is polyester, it is recyclable in fabric recycling bins.
- My home (and therefore my printer) is powered by renewable electricity (Good Energy).
- Zines are wrapped with repurposed card to prevent damage in the post.
- Zines are wrapped in compostable plastic wrap that can be composted at home.
- Zines are posted in a reused envelope, or if none are available, a recycled envelope.
- Envelopes and parcels are sealed with gum if new or with paper packing tape if reused.

Socks
Sizing and materials
Handwarmers are 75% wool and 25% nylon, unless otherwise stated. Machine-washing at 40°C is fine, but do not tumble dry or iron.
One size fits every hand I have encountered. The photo on the right shows how stretchy they are.
Allergy information: Handwarmers contain wool. I have a cat. I do not smoke.
Environment
Where possible I do my best to think low-impact when making and posting handwarmers.
- I have a preference for second-hand and unwanted yarn when I buy - although, full disclosure, most yarn is bought new.
- I choose machine-washable yarn (which is usually 20-25% nylon) for durability.
- Handwarmers are posted in a reused envelope, or if none are available, a recycled envelope.
- Envelopes and parcels are sealed with gum if new or with paper packing tape if reused.
Postage and packaging
The following are prices for one pair of standard handwarmers only. Shipping is from the UK. More or longer pairs might cost more to post.

This table only includes countries I have already posted handwarmers to. If your country isn't listed you can contact me and ask how much postage would be. Or if you want to work it out yourself:
- Go to https://www.postoffice.co.uk/postage-finder/
- Start typing your country in English, then select it from the dropdown.
- Enter the parcel weight, 60g, and click "Next".
- Choose "Large Letter" and click "Next".
- Choose "International Standard Large Letters" and click "Next".
- Under "Estimated Price", you'll find the minimum postage price for your country.
Please note that there may be a slight variation to take into account PayPal fees, and this calculator does not provide prices for the slightly cheaper and slower option of "surface/economy mail" - so the final P&P fee that I charge may differ by £1 or so in either direction. If you're not sure and you want an accurate quote, please feel free to contact me.

Self-care bead charms
I made these self-care beads as an aid for myself on my bad executive dysfunction days, because I am autistic and have ADHD and remembering what I need to do to take care of myself and then actually doing it is often a challenge!
Here's how I use them:
- Go through each charm to check whether it's something I need to do.
- Detach any that I need to do, and carry them in my hand, or put them on the table next to my cup of tea.
- Wander around the house doing all the things I'm holding in my hand.
- Put them back on the carabiner when they're done.
Pricing and ordering
There's a base cost per charm, and after that it's charged by the letter. 5 charms containing 10 letters would cost £4.32, or about 86p per charm.
This Google Form has photos of carabiners and spacer beads, and this Google Sheet is a calculator that will tell you how much your order will cost when you type in all the charms you want.
Fill in the Google Form with all the details of your order and your contact details, and I will get back to you ASAP. If you have a big order, there may be a delay while I order in more materials. If that is the case, I will tell you as soon as I can.
Allergy information: I have a cat. I do not smoke.
Environment
Where possible I do my best to think low-impact when making and posting bead charms. I am always on the lookout for second-hand beads to use as spacers, but unfortunately when it comes to the plastic wire, the plastic letter beads and the metal crimp beads there is not a lot I can do!
- I have a preference for second-hand and unwanted beads when I buy - although, full disclosure, most materials for bead charms are bought new.
- Beads are posted in a reused envelope, or if none are available, a recycled envelope.
- Envelopes and parcels are sealed with gum if new or with paper packing tape if reused.
Postage and packaging
The following are prices for up to 100g. A big set of bead charms is usually about 50g. Shipping is from the UK.
| Country | Fast (airmail or first class) | Slow (surface mail or second class) | Last checked |
|---|---|---|---|
| Belgium | £2.80 (3-5 working days) | £2.75 (15 days aim) | December 2019 |

| UK | £1.06 (1 day) | £0.83 (3 days) | December 2019 |
| USA | £3.45 (5-7 working days) | £2.75 (42 days aim) | June 2019 |

This table only includes countries I have already posted beads to. If your country isn't listed you can contact me and ask how much postage would be. Or if you want to work it out yourself:
- Go to http://www.royalmail.com/price-finder
- Click “Overseas” and start typing your country in English, then select it from the dropdown.
- Click “Large Letter”, up to 100g.
- Ignore the first couple of results, because they’re for tracked and signed - you want “international standard” (airmail) and “international economy” (surface mail, much slower).
