Just a place to collect all my zero waste stuff.

I want to compost this thing but I don't have space for a compost bin. What do I do?

  • sharewaste.com - an international map where you can find people close to you who are happy to have you put stuff in their compost bin. You can also list your own compost bin and invite others to put stuff in it.

What should I do with this item I don't want any more? I feel like it must be useful in some way and I don't want to just send it to landfill.

Put it in a cupboard. When you need to make/buy something get into the habit of checking that cupboard first to see if you can MacGyver it from something in there. Set up some kind of system maybe to avoid hoarding.

Or, if you can't think of an immediate need for something you probably don't need it and you may appreciate:

  • Freecycle - an international grassroots network of local communities giving away stuff they don't need for free. If you have used glass jars, for example, so many people will volunteer to collect them from you that you will probably have to draw names from a hat!
