This page intends to collect information about cisgender abusers pretending to be transgender in order to access and abuse vulnerable people.

Contact me if you know of any.

Note: When gender-critical feminists collect lists of articles about trans criminals, they're not very discerning. They're just lists of criminals who happen to be trans women, and the crimes are often not related to gendered spaces at all. This list has the following criteria:

  • Perpetrator must be a man who clearly has no intention of transitioning and living full-time as a woman.
  • Perpetrator must have claimed to be a woman in order to access a woman-only space that he wouldn't otherwise be able to access.
  • Perpetrator must have accessed the woman-only space in order to abuse women.

Borderline examples

  • Trans woman placed in female prison, sexually assaults inmates (2018). This is the closest I've ever been able to find, and it doesn't meet the above criteria. It should be noted that:
    • She was not imprisoned for pretending to be a woman to access women's spaces; she was imprisoned for a violent knife attack.
    • This person doesn't seem to be a man briefly pretending to be a woman in order to access a women's space and abuse women; she is living full-time as a woman. Nothing here mentions anything that suggests she is a man pretending to be a woman in order to be admitted to a women's prison, for example, suddenly identifying as a woman just as she was being detained in prison.
      • The prosecutor said that there is a "smattering of evidence in this case that the defendants [sic] approach to transition has been less than committed", which any trans person in the UK will tell you is a common allegation from NHS gender identity clinics.

Studies about cisgender men who have abused self-ID to infiltrate female spaces and abuse women

  • Dunne, P. University of Bristol, 2017. PDF
    • "However, in terms of the specific threats envisaged by trans opponents – the man who actually asserts a female gender to stealthily commit a crime – there have been no reported cases (Maza and Brinkler, 2014). As Sterling notes, those who oppose trans inclusion have ‘failed to provide statistics, studies, or facts to verify their assertions’ regarding cisgender predators, meaning that such claims are, essentially, ‘merely conjecture’ (2014: 771) On the contrary, in fact, there is ‘evidence to refute’ such claims (2014: 771). The Schedules 3 and 23 Exceptions are thus a solution in search of a problem." --Page 19, emphasis added.
